What the extension does

AudioLink Stream Loudness Monitor measures the loudness (LUFS) and sample-peak level (dBFS) of the audio playing in the browser tab you point it at. All analysis happens inside your own browser, in real time.

What we collect

Nothing. The extension has no servers, no analytics, no telemetry and no third-party SDKs.

Audio is not recorded, stored or transmitted. The captured tab audio is analysed in memory and discarded continuously. No audio file, buffer or fingerprint is ever written to disk or sent over the network.
Tab information stays local. The title and URL of the active tab are read only to label the QA report you copy to your clipboard. They are not transmitted anywhere.
No account, no identifiers. The extension does not ask who you are and does not create or read any identifier.

What is stored on your device

The extension saves your own settings in chrome.storage.local, on your device only:

Target LUFS
DAW reference LUFS
Monitor Out level and mute state

Removing the extension deletes them.

Permissions

tabCapture — capture the active tab's audio so it can be measured.
offscreen — host the audio analyser outside the popup so the measurement keeps running when the popup closes.
tabs — read the active tab's title and URL to label the report.
storage — persist the settings listed above.

The extension requests no host permissions, injects no content scripts and loads no remote code.

Data sharing and sale

The extension transmits no data, therefore no data is shared, sold or disclosed to anyone, including AudioLink.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL and the date above will be revised.
